Credit Card Machine Compliance

The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is a set of requirements that was created by Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover to ensure that ALL companies that process, store or transmit credit card information maintain a secure environment. Essentially, any merchant that has a Merchant ID (MID) is required to be PCI Compliant. This means you must confirm that you do not store cardholder data and that you practice secure and compliant procedures with cardholder information.
Non compliance may result in additional fees charged by your processor, cancellation of your merchant account and even fines charged to you by the card associations should you experience a data breech!
The new security measures will be affecting our “new production” models and “currently installed” credit card accepting machines (AC8001, AC6007, AC2207, AC2007, AC2006). The new guidelines are requiring our dial up modems to be PCI/PA-DSS compliant. We have been informed that merchant processors are already enforcing these new requirements.
In order to assist your company in becoming PCI Compliant American Changer has developed 3 different solutions; A “High-Speed Internet option”, a secure “Dialup option” and a “Wireless Credit Card option” for new “production models” and a “High-Speed Internet kit” and a secure “Dialup kit” for machines “currently installed” in the field.
Please contact your local American Changer Distributor to purchase NEW factory orders.
If you currently have “installed” credit card accepting machines, please take appropriate action to avoid service interruption or penalties. To order PCI upgrades for “currently installed” credit card accepting machines, please contact our Service Department at 888-741-9840 for more information and pricing.
